Websites & social
I have social media — do I still need a website?
Yes, and here's the blunt reason: you don't own your social media. The algorithm decides who sees you, the platform can suspend you tomorrow, and your profile ranks below your competitors' websites on Google. Social is rented ground; a website is owned ground. Use social to be seen — use the website to be found, trusted, and chosen. The businesses winning locally run both, pointing at each other.
Do I need a website if I have a Google Business Profile?
Yes. The profile gets you found; the website gets you chosen. Customers check both before calling, and Google ranks profiles with a proper connected website higher. They're one system — which is why I run them together.
What is a website subscription and how does it work?
You pay one flat monthly fee and I handle everything: design, build, hosting, maintenance, updates, and Google. There's no build fee because the relationship is the product, not the launch. Cancel with 30 days' notice whenever you want.
Who owns the website if I pay monthly?
During the subscription, the site and hosting stay with the studio — that's exactly why there's no £2k build fee up front. Your content, images, and domain are always yours. Straight deal, stated up front.
How much does a website cost per month in the UK?
Anywhere from £20 (DIY builder, you do everything) to £1,500+ (agency retainer). A managed subscription like mine sits in between: £355/month for the full Presence plan — build, hosting, maintenance, and foundational local SEO, with a real person accountable for it.
Why don't you do one-off cheap websites?
Because they don't work. A website launched and abandoned stops earning within a year: Google demotes stale sites, details go out of date, and nobody notices until the phone goes quiet. I'd be selling you a business card in a drawer. If you truly only need a one-off, my
individual services are the honest version of that.
Google & being found
How long does it take to show up on Google?
A Google Business Profile can bring calls within weeks. Real search rankings take 3–6 months of consistent work. Anyone promising page one in a week is lying to you — it's why I sell a monthly service, not a miracle.
What's the difference between SEO and local SEO?
SEO is being found by anyone searching anywhere. Local SEO is being found by people near you who are ready to buy — the map pack, "near me" searches, your Business Profile, reviews, and local citations. For a local business, local SEO pays first and fastest.
What is AI search optimisation (AEO)?
When someone asks ChatGPT or Google AI "who's the best clinic near me", the answer comes from structured, clearly written content the machines can quote. I write and mark up your site so you're quotable. That's where local search is going — the Found plan builds for it.
How do I get more Google reviews?
Ask, at the right moment, with zero friction: a direct review link sent right after the job, when the customer is happiest. Then reply to every review — Google notices, and so do the next hundred people reading them. Reviews are the one marketing channel your bigger competitors can't outspend you on.
Are Google Ads worth it for a small business?
When built properly, often yes — I've run campaigns at £0.21 per click. When built badly, they're a money bonfire: broad keywords, no negatives, no tracking. The honest answer depends on your margins and your market, which is exactly what I check before taking anyone's money.

Working with me
What happens on the free 15-minute audit?
I look at your website and Google presence before the call. On the call I tell you what's costing you customers, what to fix first, and what it would cost monthly if I handled it. No pitch deck, no follow-up sequence hammering your inbox. You keep the findings either way.
Can I cancel?
Yes. 30 days' notice, any time, no exit fees, no awkward call. I keep clients by delivering, not by locking doors.
Are you an agency?
No — deliberately. One person, on purpose. No juniors learning on your account, no account manager between you and the work. The person you email is the person who builds, writes, and optimises everything. That's the whole org chart, and it's why the name on the door is my family's name.
